Duties & Responsibilities

Proactively identify emerging issues in Safety, Health and environment Management system.
Continuously develop, implement and review safety, health and environment Standards, procedures & Policies
Identify health, safety and environmental hazards, investigate root causes and identify corrective and preventative action, and report to the Management.
Provide training instructions and workshops to all employees on safety, health and environment, with emphasis on continuous improvement.
Maintain database of all safety, Health & Environmental incidences and accidents.
Processing of WIBA and related accidents Claims
Conducting inspections and audits including Quality Management issues
Liaison with relevant Government Agencies
Any other duties that may be assigned by the Management from time to time

Job Specification

A Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science/ Environmental Studies/ Environmental Management/ Environmental Planning.
An additional Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health will be added advantage:
NEMA Certification will be an added advantage.
Minimum 6 (six) years’ progressive work experience, 2 (two) of which should be in a similar position.
Knowledge/ Skills in First Aid
Very Strong analytical and creativity skills
Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Superior interpersonal skills including courtesy, professionalism, and a cooperative attitude.
Proficient in written communications.
The ability to work independently and take initiative.
Willingness to learn and collaborate with others.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
