Duties & Responsibilities

• Proactively identify emerging issues in Safety, Health and environment Management system.
• Continuously develop, implement and review safety, health and environment Standards, procedures & Policies
• Identify health, safety and environmental hazards, investigate root causes and identify corrective and preventative action, and report to the Management.
• Provide training instructions and workshops to all employees on safety, health and environment, with emphasis on continuous improvement.
• Maintain database of all safety, Health & Environmental incidences and accidents.
• Processing of WIBA and related accidents Claims
• Conducting inspections and audits including Quality Management issues
• Liaison with relevant Government Agencies
• Any other duties that may be assigned by the Management from time to time

Job Specification

• A Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science/ Environmental Studies/ Environmental Management/ Environmental Planning.
• An additional Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health will be added advantage:
• NEMA Certification will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 6 (six) years’ progressive work experience, 2 (two) of which should be in a similar position.
• Knowledge/ Skills in First Aid
• Very Strong analytical and creativity skills
• Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Superior interpersonal skills including courtesy, professionalism, and a cooperative attitude.
• Proficient in written communications.
• The ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate with others.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
