Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct research in nature, cause and control of plant diseases.
• Study plants to diagnose symptoms of disease conditions.
• Test possible control measures under laboratory and field conditions.
• Investigate comparative susceptibility of different crop varieties in the Kenya Seed Company pool.
• Provide progress or technical reports as advised by the Head of Research and Development.
• Carrying out any other duties as may be directed by management

Job Specification

• A Bachelors degree in plant pathology or related discipline.
• Applicants with a MSc. in plant pathology will have an advantage.
• At least 4 years’ professional field or laboratory experience in plant pathology.
• Ability to perform specialized standardized or routine pathology laboratory tests.
