Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:

• monitoring and ensuring compliance with the WRMA regulatory and operational framework;
• carrying out research and preparing detailed legal opinions on matters relating to Water Resources Management Authority Act and interpreting and advising accordingly on other related laws;
• designing and implementing local agreements, international documents, and contracts;
• attending negotiations and, conventions where legal issues are bound to emerge and advising on them accordingly.

Qualifications and Experiences:

• Have a Bachelor and Masters of Laws degree from a recognized institution
• Holds a Diploma from Kenya School of Law
• Have served in the grade of Senior Legal Officer in  Public Service or in a comparable and relevant position for a minimum period of four (4) years;
• Have been admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya;
• Clearance with Chapter 6 of Kenya Constitution Institutions including EACC, CID, Helb, KRA and Director of Public Prosecutions
• Be in possession of a current practicing certificate; and
• Have proficiency in the use of basic computer applications.
